Former Governor of Anambra State and erstwhile Presidential candidate of the  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), decamped from the main opposition party,  PDP last week over what he described as recent developments in the party and  picked the presidential ticket of the Labour Party ( LP) to pursue his Presidential ambition.
The Creed.com authoritatively learnt that  another presidential aspirant on the platform of the party, Prof. Pat Utomi, Who had picked the party’s ticket  before Obi’s arrival stepped down his own ambition and endorsed Peter Obi who just joined the party after exiting the PDP
It was gathered that Utomi, a professor of political economy, stepped down and endorsed Obi  at the venue of the party’s presidential primaries which held at  Orchid Hotels, GRA, Asaba, Delta State today, Monday.
